<!doctype html> Kotahitanga Wellbeing - Index

In our service we work with a holistic philosophy where we believe that wellbeing is about being healthy physically, mentally, spiritually, and having loving and supportive family relationships.
This means we understand the impact that physical or spiritual illness can have on mental wellbeing, and will be able to adjust therapy accordingly.
We are available to work with people from all ethnicities, faiths, sexual orientations, ages, and disabilities.

Dr Celia Falchi
Psychologist
I am a registered psychologist and a full member of the New Zealand Psychological Society. I have had a major role in the development and management of the everyday running of the Kotahitanga Clinic.
I am a trained practitioner of Triple P - Positive Parenting Programme where I have over 8 years of experience in working with families specialising with parenting and child behaviour.
Celia's other training has included Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. The reason why I trained in several different theraputic models is so that I can tailor a treatment plan and its strategies to each of my clients rather than providing a one solution fits all approach. My specialist areas include:
Parenting
Relationships
Child Behaviour
Trauma
Before I worked as a psychologist I worked for several years with children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
I also have personal interest in Motor Stereotypies Disorder and how to assist children to manage their impulses, managing everyone else when you have autism, and / or ADHD, and attachment between parents and their children - in particular how to strengthen this.
I am married and been in a relationship with my husband for over 16 years and we have two young children and a silly little small white dog. My interests are cake decorating and music.
